According to a study by the Boston Consulting Group, which looked at the hundred largest listed German companies, there won’t be as many women as men on company boards of directors until 2051. Women are still heavily underrepresented in management positions in both Germany and around the world. According to the “Women in Business 2020” study by the advisory firm Grant Thornton, the proportion of women in leadership positions was 29 percent in 2020—10 percentage points more than in 2004.
